Freebie: Rounded Corners Clipping Mask!

Having a hard time creating rounded corners or don't know how to? It's very easy and when I have more time soon I will put up a tutorial on how to do it yourself, but for those of you who would just like to do it even easier: here's a clipping mask for you!
The clipping mask with rounded corners I made is 1500x1500 pixels but it doesn't really matter. You can easily resize it to whatever you want as you won't see the black mask anyway!
Just open the mask in your Photoshop (or whatever you use!), copy it and paste it onto your scrap page. Then create a new layer and copy, for instance, your paper ABOVE the black mask layer. Then click CTRL+Alt+G and it will clip itself to the mask.
Then right click on the Black mask and add your drop shadows and you're done!
Easy right? You can see on the page above how I used it on my page; it's all done with the same 1500x1500 pixels mask. I just adjusted the size to fit it to what I wanted.
I hope you will find this useful to create something extra on your pages!
Enjoy your Wednesday!

Freebie QP, CT and Promo Call and new Alphas by Brine Design and new kit by Studio Q

Hey Scrappers!

First of I am going to start with a CT and Promo Call Brine Design is having right now!
If you are interested, please read the info below and shoot Kathy an email with all the required info. She is an amazing designer to CT for I can tell you that! So grab the opportunity if you love her designs like I do and have the time for it :)

Of course we all love freebies so I finally have another one for you! This time it is a QP I made with Aprilisa Designs' gorgeous kit Captured Romance. You can get the entire kit HERE.
I've kept the QP pretty simple so you can add your own touches and journaling to it if you like. The QP is 3600x3600 pixels and is a .PNG-file.
I hope you enjoy it and if you download it, please leave a comment they are much appreciated!

Studio Q has a great new kit out called Deep Space! Great for any boy page or if you like to watch the stars etc. Literally the sky's the limit ;)
You can get it HERE

I always love scrap items I can use on any page. One of those items is Brine Design's Alpha Clips. They come in pink and blue and are very versatile! You can see it in my example page below.
Alpha Clips is available at FDP or 2LP.

New kits by Aprilisa Designs and Dylabel Designs

I just love all these Gotta Grab It kits at Gotta Pixel! If you buy em all you have a HUGE collab while it is not really a collab ;) Confused already?
Aprilisa Designs part of May's Gotta Grab It is gorgeous in my opinion! You can get it here:

ALso Dylabel Designs has a wonderful new kit out called Fresh! To me the colors do look like fresh linens flapping on the wash line in a summer breeze!
Go get her kit at Scrappity-Doo-Dah; I would post the link here but for some reason it won't let me add links anymore?? :( Weird Blogger!!

Thank you M-Scraps

For a fun weekend!! This weekend I shopped a lot, but also won a ton of freebies so my weekend was amazing! I will have plenty of scrap stuff for a while :)
My favorite though were all the challenges at M-Scraps. I always love the challenges on their forum and below you can see all the challenges I participated in.

The first one here is the Tell Me Your Story challenge. Basically you had to create a page with a minimum of 3 pictures showing a little bit about your world using pictures and a little journaling. For my page I used Janyelle Mayara's kit Love Novelette which you can buy HERE

The next challenge was Everything and the kitchen sink challenge. M-Scraps is especially known for the white space scrappers or fairly clean pages. The hostess of this challenge, the very talented Cheryl, is the opposite. She used pretty much every item in a kit when she creates her pages so our challenge was to do the same. Here is my page for which I used Cinzia L's kit My Sunshine

This challenge was the Journaling challenge. We had to journal on our pages why we love digi scrapping so much. I used a lot of different items for this page so I won't link to all of them but at least you should be able to find it!

Pink frame kit Madly in Love by Janyelle Mayara

For this next challenge, which was the Quote challenge, I used Deca Designs kit Complicity.

One of my favorite challenges was the Color challenge. It was Tracy's first time to host a challenge and I think she did an amazing job! Basically the challenge was to keep everything black and white but to use one color to enhance the page. So I used selective coloring on the picture and a few touches of orange to complete the page.
I used Deca Designs kit Remember You for this page and Darcy Baldwin's font Angel Baby.

The Non-Photography page was another favorite of mine. I find it hard to scrap without pictures so I have to step outside my comfort zone but I love the result!
I made this page with Queen of Hears and Micheline Martin's iNSD Grab Bag 2011 for this challenge.

Speaking of Queen of Hearts...the next challenge was hosted by the lovely Carly and she also provided the freebie template for the Template challenge. I used Queen of Heart's freebie template and Janyelle Mayara's kit Madly in Love.
The first challenge, that I am showing last, was the Scraplift Chain challenge. I lifted tj7933's page and for this page I used:
I used Ad77 Designs' kit Another Turquoise Butterfly for the papers and ribbon.
Stitches from kit Madly in Love by Janyelle Mayara.
Prongs from kit Easy by Dunia Designs.
Frames from kit Remember You by Deca Designs.
Font is CK Journaling.

I hope you enjoyed my pages as much as I enjoyed creating them and participating in the challenges! Have a wonderful week!!

iNSD-weekend with lots of beautiful new goodies!!

I don't know about you, but I am sure glad I am home during this iNSD-weekend so I can join in the challenges and have fun. Especially since I just got my new camera, a Canon Rebel T3i with tons of lenses, filters and a 3-piece macro kit. I have lots to learn but it will be fun too :)

Anyway, enough about me, let's get on with all the new kits 'my' designers came out with!

Aprilisa Designs has a beautiful grab bag this weekend and one of the kits in this grab bag is Mother Dearest. Get her beautiful grab bag HERE (it's a steal people!!).

Brine Design has been a busy bee! Not only does she have these gorgeous new collabs out, she also has a bunch of stunning frames out you can use on any page so don't forget to take a look in her store either at Funky Playground Designs or at Two Little Pixels.

This first collab she did is together with Siamese Studio; don't you just LOVE the colors? I sure do! You can buy your collab at Two Little Pixels!

Love the colors in this gorgeous collab, Passion Flower as well!! Brine Design designed this collab together with the very talented Danielle Young so you don't want to miss this one either!
You can get Passion Flower at FPD or at 2LP.

One of the things I love to do during iNDS is getting to know new designers! Since there are so many grab bags and huge sales you can buy all these kits from designers you're not so familiar with (yet). One of the new designers on the block is Studio Q! She is definitely worth checking out! I always love scrapping with her products as they give such a clean look to your pages but they are also very easy to use. Her latest kit is called Marvelous and it sure is!

I hope you will enjoy all these new updates as much as I did and enjoy your iNSD-weekend!!

Hug, Petra
